Yesterday Snooki tweeted a picture of herself without a stitch of makeup on and guys, I think she looks gorgeous. Actually, so do her followers; Snooki's next tweet read "Can I just say how AMAZING my fans/supporters are! You guys really know how to put a smile on my face! Love you all beyond words...". So, what do YOU think? Should Snooki pursue this au naturel look or do you like her signature smoky eye, foundation lovin' beauty vibe?
Here's the snap...
And here's Snooki with lots-o-makeup on for reference...
Now, Snooki wouldn't be Snooki without all the glitz and eyeshadow (and cat litter, apparently) but I think she looks really pretty without all the beauty schmutz. And I say that as someone who generally loves beauty schmutz.
Snooki is typically caked in bronzer, adorned with fake eye lashes, and painted with eye shadow, but the “Jersey Shore” star decided to go au naturel this week. Snooki without makeup, AKA Nicole Polizzi, actually looks pretty good when she isn’t hiding behind 8-layers of spray on tan.
Snooki posted a picture of herself without makeup on her Twitter account.
Snooki wrote:
“No make up day and IDC (I don’t care).”
After the picture went up, several fans complimented Polizzi and her less trashy appearance. A surprised Snooki wrote:
“Can I just say how amazing my fans/supporters are! You guys really know how to put a smile on my face! Love you all beyond words.”
What do you think of Snooki’s natural look? Do you think she looks better like this or when she slathers on the makeup?
Snooki has really been concentrated on her appearance lately. The “Jersey Shore” star has been working out constantly and has already dropped more than 20 pounds. Snooki is also trying to lay off the booze a little more now that she’s 24.
Snookie said:
“I decided to get fit again. I’ve always been very athletic so getting back into it feels good.”
Of course, Polizzi isn’t entirely happy with the natural look. Snooki, who just got a new tattoo, said earlier this month that she plans on getting breast implants.
Snooki said:
“I hope in the next couple of months. They’re a good size now, but I want them like this when I’m not wearing a bra.”

I will not walk out of the house without makeup,” says Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who bravely agreed to take it all off for In Touch. The breakout Jersey Shore star says she first started wearing makeup in eighth grade. “And that’s when I got my first boyfriend, so I was like, ‘makeup works!’” she reveals. Snooki, 22, also says she can’t live without bronzer and eyeliner. “I always bring that everywhere I go. I love the smoky eye. If I wasn’t doing this, I’d probably want to be a makeup artist,” she says, adding that she uses Avon products that her mother sells. “If I go to a club and I start dancing, it’ll drip down my face, but Avon stays! Some brands don’t stay on that long. She also gets me a lot of bronzer, eyeliner and lip gloss from mark.” Sounds like she could replace The Hills’ Lauren Conrad as spokes model for the mark brand. “I know,” she laughs. “Kick LC out of there!”
Snooki admits she usually takes about three hours to get ready to go out to a club. “I take a shower, then I relax,” she tells In Touch. “I usually put a mask on my face, which I didn’t do on the show because I didn’t want to look like a crazy person!” Next comes her signature “pouf,” which she’s worn since she was 16. “When I get out of the shower and my hair is wet, I can scrunch it up and put the clip in and it stays forever, just because I have thick hair and it’s naturally straight,” explains Snooki, who recommends Paul Mitchell hair spray for the best hold and insists it is an easy ’do, even though it takes her about an hour and a half. “If people don’t have hair like mine, I suggest teasing it a lot and then just put hair spray in and a clip. It should stay. I might do a video so the whole world knows how.” And the style is catching on. “I never used to see it,” she says. “Now I see mad girls with poufs!”
Hey everyone! I wanted to share a variety of unrelated information I learned today! I spent a couple hours today reading through some magazines, and on YouTube and I came out smarter!
Amazing Discovery #1
Are your eyebrows sparse? There are a few things you can do to make them appear fuller, like fill them in with a brow pencil, obviously. Today I learned that if you steer clear of eye creams and SPF on your eyebrow area, your eyebrows will start filling in again within a month or so. Apparently we are so used to putting all kinds of pore clogging ingredients on and around our brows that we clog our pores up and make our little hairs unable to sprout up! The person writing the magazine article is a doctor and claims that her patients that do this are in shock at how much of a difference it makes. COOL! Gonna try it.
Amazing Discovery #2
Thinking of hopping on the bandwagon with the BB creams? If you don't know what that means, it stands for Blemish Balm or Beauty Balm. I was thinking it sounded like a cool new thing I'd like to try, until I watched this video- I think I'll stick with my tinted moisturizer!
Amazing Discovery #3
Do you know that the people at Kohl's literally have a button on their register they can push that says 20% off? Today I was there and had forgotten my coupon (or at least that's what I said, I'm not actually sure if I had one) and before I could even pretend dig through my purse, she pressed the magic 20% off register button. She then told me, that at any time, say that you would like to use your 20% off coupon that you don't have with you, and the employee will always be able to do that for you. How awesome! What a great store- you never have to pay full price!
A couple more random nuggets of info:
1. I found an awesome Bedhead product today- It was called Peppermint Hair Mask, and was in a huge liter bottle like their shampoo is normally in. Jessica and I have been really into the S Factor hair mask, but it's very expensive, so if this is a cheaper dupe within their line, I'm on board for sure. I got it for $7.99 at our local discount store. Has anyone tried it?
2. Have you ever had Kohl's cash or one of those $10 off a $10 purchase in a store and you are literally stumpted at what to buy? If you are constantly searching for deals and shopping like some of us do, every so often you might think "I have no idea what I'm going to use this for." My mom taught me to always use those coupons no matter what- because it's free stuff, duh!- and if you can't think of anything you want, use it to buy underwear, socks, and undershirts. Three things you will always need! Today I used my $40 in Kohl's cash to buy a bunch of undies for me and some undershirts for the hubby. FREE money well spent. :-)
Just had to share my random little factoids. Do you have any to share with me? I read the eyebrow thing today and I was squirming in my seat at work in anticipation of sharing that with ya'll. I will make sure to keep my eye cream FAR away from those little brows tonight.
Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow & Liner in Nude Eyes
Move over Urban Decay Naked, Naked 2, the Balm Nude Tude (second cutest packaging award), and NYX Nude on Nude, there is a new Nude palette on the block and it is the cutest thing EVER! It's obviously a smaller size than some of the aforementioned palletes, but still it wins the cutest award. Plus, the shadows rock. Their whole new line has the cutest packaging including a jeans design with a zipper (casual), faux snake skin with a button (flash), and a shiny black case with a jewel (smokey).
This retails around $10-$11. Physican's Formula is one of the more expensive drugstore brands, but I absolutely love their products. I couldn't pass this up even though it was full price. Plus you get 9 amazing shadows and even though they aren't the largest of shadows, when was the last time you ever actually hit pan on an eyeshadow?
The packaging gives you instructions on how to create three different looks and has the shadows paired in groups of three, so this is very user friendly if you aren't that comfortable mixing and playing with shadows. It takes all the guess work out of it. There was also a set of three eyeliners
This is one of those palettes where the pictures just don't do it justice. I can't stop looking at these on my arm. They have a really nice pigment and sheen to them and are super creamy. These look so much better on my HD camera screen than my computer. So you'll have to trust me on the color of these. :) These swatches above are without primer. These all have shimmer except for the darkest shadow seems to be more matte. There are also at least four shades that are dupes or near dupes for Naked shades Sin, Sidecar, Hustle, and Creep.
I really like this palette, but there are some negative reviews out there saying these are too sheer. But they're nudes! So its not like you're going to get an insane dramatic dark color. I would recommend using primer with these. I used Urban Decay's primer potion. These four lighter colors can be used more as a highlighter too. I think they're all just gorgeous.
Here are the designs of all the shimmer strips in this line:
Looking for a great wearable red color? Well, look no further than NYC's Sheer Red. This lip stick is .99 cents which is amazing. This has great color payoff, goes on creamy, is non drying and is long lasting. I have a bunch of NYC's lipsticks, including my fave bright pink called Blue Rose. Just like Wet N Wild .99 cent lipsticks, these are a great quality. This is a great way to experiment and test out what you like and what you don't before you spend money on a more expensive lipstick if you so chose.
If you are newer to makeup or red lips, this is a great place to start. One swipe of this is an easily wearable red color, but it is buildable as well so you can have a more dramatic red as you get more comfortable. And you can't really go wrong because it is under $1!!
Top swatch is 2 layers, bottom is 3-4
What do you think of this red? Would you wear this?
I was on the side of town where our Kmart is where I rarely venture. But every time I seem to drop in, the same woman working in the cosmetics area is marking down the makeup items. She is so nice and even tells me what she is going to mark down and to bring her any items I want to see if they are to be marked down. She will tell me when she works next too or when things will be marked down. I think she has seen me looking like a vulture around the makeup area too often. So, I picked up some things on clearance I couldn't pass up. Last time I clearance shopped at Kmart I got a ton of items for like no money! They are marking down their discontinued makeup and Kmart seems to be the most generous in their price mark downs.
Check out my prior blog post HERE to find out how and what I got for under $5. Hint: It was 7 products total, original retail value $70. :)
PS: Revlon and Almay are 40% off at Kmart right now and Maybelline is buy one get one 50% off. Plus they have double manufacturer's coupons on Wednesdays and Saturdays!
Almay Intense I-color trio for greens and browns.
Original retail price: $8-9. Price paid: $2
I have a few Almay palettes already and I really like them and they are a company I trust when picking colors that pair well together and with a certain eye color. These were marked down because Almay has new trios in their new Spring 2012 line which look enticing as well. So I paid $1 per shade. Score! The color pay off and sheen on these colors are excellent.
Maybelline Eye Studio Eyeshadow Limited Edition in 800
Makeover Mocha.
Original retail price: $8-9. Price paid: $4.39
Although Maybelline seriously disappointed me with their eye explosion palettes, I have probably three of these eye studio quads and love all of them. They are sooooo creamy and the shimmery shades are to die for. This drug store eye shadow quad definitely got it right. This one was on sale for $4.39. Maybelline has some amazing newer quads out right now, but I have an aversion to paying full price for things. The last color is almost a gunmetal grey/black/blue mixture with some serious shimmer. Love it!
Wet n Wild Minerals Loose blush
Original retail price: $3.99 Price paid: $.99
The color I got was Barely Peach...probably because there is barely any color there. I am glad this was .99 cents. Although I just applied it on my hand and not my face. The color was pretty, but not super pigmented. There were also the palettes with six square shadows in them on clearance as well.
I tried very hard for ya'll to get this swatch. :) Maybe I'll like it more on my face...who knows!?
